Lynn Basa's art practice includes studio work and large public art projects. Here she's painting on paper in oil and beeswax. International design firm Holly Hunt, Inc. is using this Studio Visit Video to show her creating these works for them.
Her studio is a former storefront in the Chicago neighborhood of Avondale. This was a pleasure to shoot because of the floor-to-ceiling windows and the kinetic way she works. Beeswax melts and creates movement on the paper, even after the torch is taken away, so she has to have a sure hand.
